Ava was amazing this year.  Friday December 11th was Time 2 Beat.  I knew Ava was fast at the end of the run and she ended up winning the class!  That was definitely a lot of fun.

Then on Saturday we started with Round 1, a Jumpers course in the morning and Ava was clean.  At the end of this run she was ranked #14 in the 24 inch class.

Ava had a beautiful run in Round 2, the Standard course.  Unfortunately she was called on the dog walk contact and ended up with a score of 95.  I don’t believe she missed the contact and neither did anyone who was watching her, but it is what it is.  At the end of this run she was ranked #27 for this run and #18 cumulative in the 24 inch class.

Ava had a great run in Round 3, the Hybrid course and was clean.  At the end of this run she was ranked #10 for this run and #16 cumulative in the 24 inch class.

Then came Round 4, another Jumpers course. I ended up right in front of jump #4 after my front cross and so we had a bit of a bobble in the area of jumps 4, 5 and 6, but Ava managed to save the run and was clean.  At the end of this run she was ranked #16 for this run and #15 cumulative in the 24 inch class.

I am so proud of Ava!  She had a great time, barking throughout all her runs!

On Monday before we headed home we took some Christmas pictures with a giant Christmas tree at one of the hotels in Orlando, and another had huge Christmas ornaments.  Then I drove over to Cocoa Beach, something I have always wanted to do, but never took the time.  I found a beautiful dog friendly beach and Ava had a wonderful time chasing her tennis ball on the beach and chasing the little sand birds.  It was a great way to relax and unwind before driving home.  We enjoyed temperatures close to 80 in Florida, then got snowed on a couple of hours before we got home – Yikes!
